- Practice in a low-volume setting
- May include any combination of clinic, emergency department, and inpatient coverage
- Shift opportunities range from short-term, weekends, to a maximum of seven-day/week-long coverage
Emergency department coverage
- Slightly higher volumes than traditional family medicine opportunities
- Shifts ranging from 12-hour, 24-hour, 48-hour, to up to weekend coverage
